Freeimages is part of a network of free stock photography related resources:
- Freeimages.co.uk was the original site and contains our main library of images.
- Freeimageslive.co.uk contains images that users have taken themselves and contributed to the site,
these are available for use under similar terms to those in the main library.
How Does Free Images Work?
Simple: Browse the site for an image you like and download it. If you use it in a design of any kind then you need to mention that we were the source of the image, check the full terms for details. The site is supported through advertising on each page (which we try to keep to a minimum). The images were taken either exclusively for the site or were sourced from contributing photographers and illustrators ('freeimageslive'). Our ad revenue is used to improve the site, pay for operation and to support our nominated charity, a kiva lending group.

About our Images
Images on freeimages.co.uk were taken specially for this site. You may not redistribute these images as a collection or part of. If you use our images a credit link to this site is required. All the images are original to this site. Most images are 1152x864 or 1200x1600, all are 24-bit maximum quality jpeg. File size ranges between 100k and 2000k (approx.), Images on freeimageslive are somewhat larger, up to around 3000x3000 pixels.We can only supply the images free of charge because the site is supported by
the advertising you see and image users linking back to our home page.
Without these links we would not be able to continue hosting the images without charging for access to them.

Photographic prints were scanned using a three-pass Epson GT-6500 flatbed scanner.
Minolta Dimage 5400 Slide Scanner.
